Arrival in Bali...

Arrived in Bali on a smooth morning flight, checked into my villa and immediately change and dive into my own private plunge pool!!

I've got today and tomorrow to rest & relax before diving into work from Monday onwards... Already got a long 'To Do' list from the meeting earlier. Hmmm... maybe I'll go for a nice Balinese Massage in the evening...

November's Chopin (十一月的蕭邦)

Yes, that's Jay Chou's latest album and I got it on this little island!! Thanks to Jerome who DHL to me, shukuriya (Thank you in Dhivehi). The album is GOOD!! Almost all the songs are nice and very pleasing. I've been listening to them non-stop since I got them yesterday.

My personal favourites - 髮如雪, 浪漫手機, 一路向北.

He only release one album a year and so far he has never disappoint. This album is up there with the very best!!

Bali, here I come!!

I can't believe this, again at short notice, I'm being whizzed to another property to work. This time to the beautiful island of Bali. Bali? Yes, Four Seasons Bali. Another island. They needed help, and in the midst of my budget preparation, new major hotel software installation, construction, office renovation, I had to go there for a month to assist. Well, what to do, we're a team player so we should all play our part to ensure that things goes smoothly.

Anyway, I had long wanted to visit FS Bali, and now the window of opportunity opens again. The only gripe is that I was supposed to fly back to SG with Cheryl, looks lke plans have to change now :( So sad, never get to spend time together in Singapore even though we're both Singaporeans...

Well, that's life... So I'll be packing and flying again... this time closer to home.

Knock, knock, knock!!!

Finally renovation to my office is starting!! I'm excited because I'm planning the space for my office and also the staff's seating arrangements and computers, printers etc... My current office is still in a bad state after the Tsunami and this renovation gave me an opportunity to clean up the entire office and really throw away files and paperwork that were 'don't know how many thousand years ago!!'

Prior to today, the entire team has been shifted to the resort shop to continue operations. The boys spent the entire day moving tables, files, cabinets etc into the temporary workspace at the resort shop. While we settled comfortably at the temporary place, all our eyes are on the progress of the renovation of the new office. And I... ahem... will have a office by myself and I've already planned what to do with it :)

Eid Mubaraaku

That's Selamat Hari Raya in Dhivehi :) Being a muslim country, Maldives celebrates Ramadhan with Eid Mubaraaku. As it is costly and difficult to do visting like hat we have in the city, Maldivians will just gather at island level, have food and dance the night away...
