Mt Gunung Raya
Mt Gunung Raya is one of the two taller peaks in the island of Langkawi, with the highest point at 850 metres above sea level. You don't really have to climb the mountain, you can actually drive up there, just like driving up Mt Faber or Genting highlands but it takes a much longer time than Mt Faber but a shorter time than Genting highlands.
It was a gloomy Sunday morning, after sending Cheryl to work, me and Weay decided to go up Gunung Raya to take some pictures. The drive up there was uneventful, the slope was rather gentle, about 20 degrees inclination. The happening thing was that once we reached the top, the car died on us :( We tried ways to restart it but to no avail, it was an auto-gear car, so push-start was out of the question. After several attempts, we decided to just leave the car alone and call for help.
While waiting, we did what we came up here for-taking pictures. Not exactly nice to take pictures on a gloomy and hazy day, but we make do with whatever there is. Help finally came but the mechanics were unable to start the car either. So in the end, we left the car on the mountain top and came down the mountain.:P
We actually planned to visit the Seven Wells waterfall after this but then no mood liao... Maybe next time, we should really climb a mountain instead of driving.... :)
